The Startup Guarantee Fund aims to guarantee the participations of private equity firms, venture capital funds, seed funds and any other investment body in the capital of Startups in accordance with the legislation in force.

A Startup is any business incorporated in accordance with the legislation in force and having been awarded a startup label by the Ministry of Technology and Digital Economy in accordance with Law No. 2018-20 of April 17, 2018 on startups.

To obtain the start-up label, a company must have an innovative business model, preferably technology based, and its activities significantly contribute to economic growth.

The management of the Startup Guarantee Fund has been entrusted to the SOTUGAR under an agreement signed on December 30, 2019 with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Technology and Digital Economy.
